Year 3 Curriculum
Ancient Egypt
As we move into the final term, our learning about the Ancient Egyptians continues. We will begin by completing our Super Start, which will focus on the process of mummification. Tomatoes and salt will be the stars of this activity! Our English lessons will continue to focus on the text ‘Ma At’s Feather’ by Juliet Desailly, following the life of Qen, a young Egyptian boy who faces a very difficult dilemma. The children are already hooked by its mysterious prologue and can’t wait to find out more. For our Marvellous Middle, we will explore the importance of the Egyptian Pharaohs and the significance of their death masks. As historians, we will review a variety of sources and explore what we can learn from them. For our Fabulous Finish we would like to invite you to our Parent and Carer Class Assembly ready to be transported back in time. A letter with further information will follow.
Manners Curriculum
